1) International Children's Book Day (अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाल पुस्तक दिवस) - 02/04/2024
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाल पुस्तक दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 2 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है। यह तिथि बच्चों की कहानियों के प्रसिद्ध डेनिश लेखक हंस क्रिश्चियन एंडरसन के जन्मदिन का सम्मान करने के लिए चुनी गई है।
इस दिवस को मानने का उद्देश्य है बच्चों में पढ़ने के प्रति प्रेम को प्रेरित करना और बच्चों की किताबों की ओर ध्यान आकर्षित करना।
Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, 2 April, International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books.
Mission
- to give children everywhere the opportunity to have access to books with high literary and artistic standards
-to encourage the publication and distribution of quality children's books, especially in developing countries
Japan Board on Books for Young People is honored to be an official sponsor of ICBD 2024.

2) पुस्तकोपहार📔 Pustakouphar (The Festival of Book Donation) - 06/042024
The main goal of this programme is to conserve the environment, save paper, save trees for clean India, green India. When we give gratefully and accept cheerfully, everyone is blessed.
The main aim for organizing Pustakouphar in our KV Dharamgarh from 2024 is to inculcate the value of sharing and caring for our environment. Beside a step like this brings an opportunity to let the text books have a new life, inculcate a spirit of bonding friendship/respect/honour among students.
The students learn and exhibit responsible, moral behavior, and contribute towards saving money and environment.
The students who participated in this book donation campaign will get a certificate of appreciation for their contribution to the society and making in green India.
3) Essay writing And Poster making competition - 15/04/2024
Remembering Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Ji on his birth anniversary our Library had organize poster making and essay writing competition and remember the sacrifices and contributions of our brave Indians and leaders.
4) Earth Day (पृथ्वी दिवस) - 22/04/2024
Earth Day is an annual event observed across the globe to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Earth Day reminds citizens of the world of the importance of environment conservation and sustainability, encouraging us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and brighter future. The day raises awareness and inspires change, fostering a deep connection with nature. The theme for World Earth Day 2024 is Planet vs Plastics. With this theme, the organization aims to reduce plastic dependency and make the earth plastic-free.
History and Significance:
The origin of Earth Day can be traced back to 1970. The idea behind the event originated from Gaylord Nelson, a US senator, and Denis Hayes, a Harvard student. They were both deeply disturbed by the deteriorating environment in the United States and the massive January 1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. Deeply disturbed by the environmental impacts, he wanted to infuse the energy of student protests into an emerging public consciousness about air and water pollution.
Since then, Earth Day has grown into a global movement, with people from all walks of life coming together to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote positive change. One of the key themes of Earth Day is the need to address climate change, which poses a significant threat to the health of our planet and its inhabitants. Rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and extreme weather events are just some of the consequences of climate change, and urgent action is needed to mitigate its effects.
In addition to raising awareness and promoting activism, Earth Day is also a time for celebration and appreciation of the natural world. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature, whether by spending time outdoors, planting trees, or participating in community clean-up events. By fostering a deeper connection to the Earth, we can cultivate a greater sense of responsibility and stewardship for the planet.
As we celebrate Earth Day each year, it’s important to remember that protecting the environment is not just a one-day event, but an ongoing commitment. 5) World Book and Copyright Day (विश्व पुस्तक और कॉपीराइट दिवस) - 23/04/2024
विश्व पुस्तक और कॉपीराइट दिवस पुस्तकों और पढ़ने के आनंद को बढ़ावा देने का एक उत्सव है। प्रत्येक वर्ष, 23 अप्रैल को, किताबों के दायरे को पहचानने के लिए दुनिया भर में समारोह आयोजित किए जाते हैं । इसका उद्देश्य अतीत और भविष्य के बीच एक कड़ी, पीढ़ियों और संस्कृतियों के बीच एक पुल बनाना है।इस अवसर पर, यूनेस्को और पुस्तक उद्योग के तीन प्रमुख क्षेत्रों - प्रकाशकों, पुस्तक विक्रेताओं और पुस्तकालयों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठन, अपनी पहल के माध्यम से, दिवस के उत्सव की प्रेरणा को बनाए रखने के लिए एक वर्ष के लिए विश्व पुस्तक राजधानी का चयन करते हैं।

Books are invitations to travel and to encountering others: with each new page turned, another world appears before our eyes. On World Book and Copyright Day 2024, we wish to celebrate the power and beauty of books. Books, in all their forms, allow us to learn and to keep ourselves informed. They also entertain us and help us to understand the world, while offering a window into otherness. For books to be able to unleash their full potential, it is essential that they reflect the linguistic diversity of our world. However, this is far from being the case today; the majority of works are published in just a handful of languages, and digital technology raises the issue of linguistic homogenization. Yet every written language brings with it a particular worldview, with its symbols and its values.
The theme for this year’s World Book and Copyright Day is ‘Read Your Way’.
6) National Flag Day (राष्ट्रीय तिरंगा दिवस) - 22/07/2024
भारत का राष्ट्रीय ध्वज दिवस 15 अगस्त, 1947 को देश को अंग्रेजों से आजादी मिलने से कुछ दिन पहले, 22 जुलाई, 1947 को संविधान सभा द्वारा भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज को अपनाने की याद दिलाता है।
झंडे का डिज़ाइन और प्रतीकवाद: भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज, जिसे "तिरंगा" के नाम से जाना जाता है, में समान चौड़ाई की तीन क्षैतिज पट्टियाँ हैं। सबसे ऊपरी पट्टी केसरिया (केसरिया) है, जो साहस और बलिदान का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। बीच की पट्टी सफेद है, जो शांति और सच्चाई का प्रतीक है, इसके केंद्र में एक गहरे नीले रंग का अशोक चक्र (पहिया) है, जो कानून के शाश्वत चक्र का प्रतीक है। नीचे की पट्टी हरे रंग की है, जो विकास और शुभता को दर्शाती है। ध्वज का अनुपात 2:3 के अनुपात में है और अशोक चक्र में 24 तीलियाँ हैं, जो निरंतर प्रगति का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं।
India's National Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the Indian national flag on July 22, 1947, by the Constituent Assembly, a few days before the country attained Independence from the British on August 15, 1947.
Design and symbolism of the flag:The Indian national flag, known as the "Tiranga", features three horizontal stripes of equal width. The top stripe is saffron (kesaria), representing courage and sacrifice. The middle stripe is white, symbolising peace and truth, with a navy blue Ashoka Chakra (wheel) at its centre, which signifies the eternal wheel of law. The bottom stripe is green, denoting growth and auspiciousness. The flag's proportions are in the ratio of 2:3 and the Ashoka Chakra has 24 spokes, representing continuous progress.
